Wondering what to do this weekend, why not do it all?! This weekend is filled with exciting and fun events happening around Staten Island.

  1. Uncorked! 2012 – Enough said!

    This is one event we wait for all year! Stroll through Richmond Historic Town, listen to soft music, sample great dishes, sip local wines, taste American tradition, enjoy ethnic flavors and make tasty memories. Don’t miss it!

    When: May 19th, Sat. 12PM – 4PM
    Location: Historic Richmond Town, 441 Clarke Ave Staten Island NY 10306
    Tickets: $30 for adults / $10 for children 12 and under. Rides and games additional.

  2. Memorial Day Parade

    Staten Island will celebrate the brave men and women who have fought to preserve the country’s freedom by hosting the annual Great Kills Memorial Day Parade .

    When: May 19th, Sat. Begins at 10 AM
    Location: At Durant and Cleveland avenues
    Tickets: Free

  3. Decker Farm Stand

    The farm stand will be open every Saturday morning offering the freshest seasonal vegetables, prepared items and breads. “Farm Fests” will be held on the last Saturday of each month to celebrate the bounty from the Decker Farm fields.

    When: Every Saturday until November 3rd, 9AM – 1PM
    Location: 441 Clarke Ave.
    Tickets: Free entrance. Produce for sale.

  4. Staten Island Maifest

    A German-inspired Spring Festival hosted by Trinity Lutheran Church. The even will feature traditional foods, music, entertainment, vendors, games and crafts and much more.

    When: May 19th, Sat. 10AM – 6PM
    Location: South Meadow in Snug Harbor, 1000 Richmond Terrace
    Tickets: $3.50 for people over 16 years of age / Children under 16 are free with parent

  5. Disney’s The Jungle Book Kids

    Sundog Theatre’s Musical Theatre Kids take the stage in a classic Disney tale brought to life through song and dance! Performed by an all-kid cast, the jungle is jumpin’ with jazz in this exciting Disney classic! Join Mowgli, Baloo, King Louie and the gang as they swing their way through madcap adventures and thwart the ferocious tiger, Shere Khan. Specially adapted from the beloved film, this musical includes all your favorite Disney tunes, like “The Bare Necessities,” and “I Wan’na Be Like You.” With colorful characters and that toe-tapping jungle rhythm, The Jungle Book KIDS is a crowd-pleaser for audiences of all ages!

  6. Top Chef – The Tour
    Starting May 17th, Bravo brings together some of Top Chef’s most memorable cheftstants for the fifth annual Top Chef mobile tour. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to watch your favorite chefs compete live.

    When: May 19th, Sat. The demo times are 10:30 a.m., 12 p.m., and 1:30 p.m.

  7. “It’s My Park Day”

    Come out and lend a hand to help clean your park. Offering several activities to engage the community and especially our youth to learn about the importance of caring for and maintaining their local parks. The Staten Island gardeners will lead volunteers in an informative workshop that will teach the basics of maintaining a horticultural site. This event is taking place in all Staten Island Parks.

    Tappen Park, Wolfe’s Pond Park, Corporal Thompson Park, Westerleigh Park, Eibs Pond Park, New Dorp Park, Clove Lake Park, Graniteville Quarry Park, Midland & South Beach.

  8. The WIYOS in Concert

    The WIYOS transport us back to the 1920’s and 30’s by inviting kids and adults alike to holler, stomp and sing along to old-time American folk music. This trio captures the vintage spirit of the era by drawing on blues, ragtime, spirituals, and Appalachian jug-band music. Featuring an array of colorful instruments – harmonica, washboard, kazoo, banjo, guitar – these theatrical musicians fill the stage with rich textures and sounds. Bring your little ones to this free interactive, 45 minute concert.

  9. Alice in Wonderland

    Come to a tea party with Alice in Wonderland! Step through the looking glass where excitement and adventure go hand-in-hand with magic, music and fun! Audiences of all ages will love the rollicking energy and enchantment of Alice in Wonderland as Lewis Carroll’s great classic is wonderfully brought to life on stage.

    When: May 20th, at 5PM
