  1. Pumpkin Picking at Decker Farm Stand

    Visit the 1800s Decker Farm and enjoy a guided tour through the 1810 farmhouse and a hayride. Purchase a pumpkin to bring home. Free shuttle bus service from the Historic Richmond Town parking lot to the farm.

    When: October 13th and 14th, Sat and Sun 11AM – 4PM
    Location: Decker Farm, 435 Richmond Hill Road
    Tickets: $5 per person, $16 for a family of 4. Additional cost for pumpkins.

  2. Greenmarkets across Staten Island – shop local produce!

    This weekend don’t forget to visit one of the three or all greenmarkets on Staten Island for farm-fresh produce! Get delicious, locally grown fruits and veggies.

    1. St. George Greenmarket, corner of Hyatt St. & St. Marks Place, 8MA – 2PM
    2. Staten Island Mall Greenmarket, 2655 Richmond Ave, parking lot, 9AM – 4PM
    3. Decker Farm, 435 Richmond Hill Rd, 9AM – 1PM
  3. Dread of Night

    True or almost true stories based on archival material. A self-guided tour leads you through some of our “hauntingly lonely” buildings where you’ll meet some very interesting characters. Reservations required, call (718) 351-1611 ext. 281

    Locations: Historic Richmond Town, 441 Clarke Avenue
    Tickets: $10 for adults, $8 for children and SIHS members

  4. Harvest Tea Party

    Conference House Association Auxiliary invites you to a harvest tea party in the Conference House kitchen. Space is limited so reservations are required. For more information please call (718) 984-2491.

    Locations: Conference House Museum, Pittsville St., Hylan Blvd. Richard Ave.

  5. Second Saturdays

    Second Saturday Staten Island is a monthly art walk including gallery openings and cultural events taking place in public spaces, popup galleries, restaurants, cafes, artist studios and apartments around the island’s North Shore.

  6. Rock-a-“Hallow” Blade: Rollerblading at Faber Park

    Bring the whole family to roller-blade to music at Faber Park to celebrate Halloween. Bring your best costumes!

    This event is presented by Syfy. Syfy is the proud sponsor of 14 NYC Parks fall-themed events across the city, including Pumpkin Fest in Central Park on Saturday, October 27!

  7. Boat Tour – Circumnavigate Staten Island

    Ahoy, there!

    Join National Lighthouse Museum members and friends on a boat trip around the Island of Staten.

    On October 13th experts in the navigation and lighthouse worlds will be on board the New York Water Taxi leaving at 1:00pm from Slip #6 at Battery Park, NYC. They will relate tales of the working harbor and the lighthouses surrounding Staten Island that helped build the harbor and shipping industry into one of the world’s greatest ports.     Snacks and drinks are available onboard – or bring your own.

  8. Pumpkin Festival

    Celebrate autumn under a golden tree canopy in Willowbrook Park. There will be free puppet shows by Puppets in Parks at 1 and 3 pm and a visit from the “Recyclarium,” a cool traveling program that offers exhibits and interactive games that explain the ins and outs of recycling, from disposing of the materials properly to processing what eventually emerges as the recycled product. Enjoy a visit and healthy cooking demonstration from our friends at GrowNYC Greenmarket throughout the day. Andy from the NYC Compost Project will be on hand with alive worm bin to teach about turning waste into great soil! Face painting and environmental education activities will be on hand.   9. Fall Hike with Mike

    October is a very exciting time at the park! Join naturalist and historian Mike Shanley as he searches the park for birds moving through the area and other wildlife. Please bring binoculars and sturdy shoes/boots. Meet in front of the nature center. Registration required, please contact Mike Shanley @ 917-753-7155 with your name, phone # and number of participants.
